OUR AUTHORIZER
Ferris State University (FSU) is the authorizer for William C. Abney Academy. As the authorizer, FSU oversees the charter contract and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations. FSU appoints the Academy's Board of Directors and provides training sessions for the Board.
The Charter School Office of Ferris State University supports the educational choices and opportunities for all children in the State of Michigan, regardless of their race, natural heritage, culture, or economic status. As such, FSU ensures that academic goals are being met.
Ferris State University is located in Big Rapids, Michigan. FSU is a public university with an ever-expanding campus.
